Ahogy azt szerencsére már megszoktuk,a campbeltowni Springbank Distillery minden év végén már bejelenti a következő évi palackozásait.Most sincs másként.

A 2010-es év Icons of  Whisky-Distillery of the Year titulus birtokosának tavaly decemberben  közzétett programjának megfelelően idén a Springbank lepárlótól a következő single maltok jelentek meg:januárban a Springbank 18 years old,Springbank CV,márciusban a Springbank 12 yo Cask strength és a limitált Springbank Claret finish,májusban a Kilkerran Work in Progress a Glengyle lepárlóból,szeptemberben pedig a Hazelburn 12 years old.

2011-ben a Springbank a következő palackozási menetrend szerint kívánja piacra dobni a maltjait:

• 2011 Január: Springbank 18 years old éves,szokásos palackozás és Hazelburn Sauternes finish
• 2011 Május:a lepárló nyilt napjára már szeretnék lepalackozni a Kilkerran Work in Progress 3.release
• 2011 Július:jön a Longrow 18 years old éves palackozása
• 2011 Szeptember:ez a hónap hagyományosan a Hazelburn 12 years old megjelenésének ideje,így lesz jövőre is

A poszt második felében egy szomorú és hihetetlen dolog következik.A világ egyik legnagyobb Springbank gyűjteménye egy holland űriember birtokában volt.Tavaly ismeretlen tettesek,egy máig nem tisztázott körülmények közt ellopták a hatalmas és értékes magángyűjtemény 185 palackját.Akkor a gyűjtó az összes létező whiskyvel foglalkozó felületen közzétette az ellopott palackok listáját,bízva abban,hogy azok valahol felbukkannak.Sajnos a rendőrségi nyomozás azóta sem vezetett eredményre és az ellopott whiskyk sem bukkantak fel sehol.Se aukciókon,se internetes árveréseken.A napokban hihetetlen dolog történt.Michie Wigman,a gyűjtó elhatározta,hogy eladja megmaradt gyűjteményét.A kollekció fele már Németországban volt,várva az árverést ahol majd elkel,a maradék egy őrzött raktárterületen egy konténerben várta hasonló sorsát.Wigman úr pár nappal ezelőtt a konténeréhez látogatott,hogy kivegyen egy palackot amikor megdöbbenve látta,hogy a konténerre szerelt lakatok,zárak egyszerűen eltüntek.A konténer teljesen üres volt!Képzeljük el azt a sokkot amit a kollektor átélhetett abban a pillanatban.195 palack tűnt el ismét!A konténeren semmilyen erőszakos behatolás nem volt látható.A helyi rendőrség pedig elfoglaltságra hivatkozva a mai napig nem nézte vissza a telep biztonsági kameráinak felvételét.Az elkeseredett magángyűjtő most bejelentette,hogy végleg befezi a gyűjtést,megszabadul és eladja a maradék palackjait.Wigman úr azt kérte minden whiskyvel foglalkozó oldaltól,hogy olvasóikon keresztül segitsenek abban,hogy ha valahol a lopott palackok felbukkannak,azt jelezzék.
